The allegory for the entry into the throne of Alexander I was obviously made from the drawing of Ferdinand de Mace (1780 – no earlier than 1810) or from engraving on its original.
Emperor Peter I and Empress Catherine II sitting on the clouds hold a medallion with a portrait of Alexander I (dates back to the original f. Kugelhen). Peter (the face goes back to the original to. Moora) is depicted in the form of Zeus -Jupiter, naked to the waist, barefoot, at his feet an eagle with heavenly fire in his paws. Catherine (portrait image dates back to the type of lamp – Levitsky) is depicted in the form of the wife of Zeus Hereda -Juno (next to her on the clouds of two peacocks, symbols of this goddess). In the lower part of the left and right, the groups of gods and allegorical figures: Mercury, Flora, Hercules, Glory, three grace, parks, defeated Medusa-Gorgon. Putty everywhere with art attributes, military armor, baskets of flowers. In the center, flying Putto holds a ribbon with the French inscription: … d’ -lexandre BamaisvousvousvousVienDralabonour/Rendresonpeopleheurexestlevoeudesoncoeur … [from Alexander will always be happiness; Making your people happy – the desire of his heart]. Behind the figures of ancient gods and a woman in a crown with tsarist regalia in the hands symbolizing Russia, the peoples inhabiting the Russian Empire are depicted. Among them is Great Russia with a salary beard, a Ukrainian with a long mustache and a shaved head, a man in the Eastern Chalme and Negro. The plot was widespread at the beginning of the 19th century. There is a drawing with a pen with signature f. De Mayes (Kat. “Imperial Russia”. With. 128). There was also a “picture on porcelain”, with which in. Neumann completed a watercolor copy (kat. “Alexander I”. With. 235. No. 182). According to the drawing f. De Mayes Zh. AND. An engraving was performed by Avrille (ibid. With. 239).
