During his stay in Moscow, Emperor Paul I visited Nikolai Petrovich Sheremetev (1751–1809), a participant in his children’s games and stayed for several hours in the Ostankino Palace. The sovereign guest was met with the orchestra, the choir sang specially written on the occasion of the coronation of Kanta.

The palace was built for n. P. Sheremeteva in 1792–1798 as a Dwyr Theater (Project F. Campores, J. Quarengs with the participation of p. And. Argunova). A front yard with a fence and a gate decorated with sculpture was arranged in front of the palace. On the right is the Church of the Life -Giving Trinity (1678–1683, architect P. Potekhin).
