Starov Ivan Egorovich (1743-1808)-architect. “Of the children of the spiritual rank”. Since 1758, a pupil of IAX, since 1762 a pensioner of the academy in Paris and Rome. In 1768 he received the title of appointed, in 1769 – academician. Since 1770, an adjunct professor, since 1785 professor, from 1791 member of the Academy Council, from 1794 ADJUCT DISTORITOR IAH. According to his projects, the Tauride Palace, the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra were erected in St. Petersburg.
