The name of the grandiose architectural ensembles of St. Petersburg: the Palace and Isaacievskaya Squares, the Mikhailovsky Palace and the Alexandria Theater is associated with the name of Karl Ivanovich Rossiya. In the portrait of the Motoire, Rossi seemed to be distracted from his drawings for a moment, answering the question of an invisible interlocutor.
